A village with almost 2.000 inhabitants 7 km south-west of Eger. Its 130 ha water reservoir is excellent for fishing.
A unique natural formation created by the 68 °C thermal water is the salt hill. The water of the thermal spring is medicinal. It is suitable for treating arterosclerosis, rheumatic and locomotor diseases, for treatments after operations, and in the form of a drinking cure it can be effectively used for treating overweight, bile and stomach problems. It is part of the historical wine region of Eger with its excellent wines, and it is a station in the tours of the wine route. The altar of its church is decorated with the icon of Mary with the crown. It is a place of pilgrimage. In summer the village attracts many young visitors who attend the traditional religious retreat for the youth.
